Here we are so far...
Just a few notes on the show after two rehearsals, First off thank you everyone for getting behind this show, I am really impressed with the level of talent we have in the cast and I truly believe that this has the makings of one spectacular show. Of course that won't come easily, so please learn you lines early, come prepared to rehearsal and be on time and come ready to work and to help out your fellow cast members and I'm sure this show will go off wonderfully.
Secondly, I am still waiting on approval of the remainder of our rehearsal schedule but I have been made aware that there is a problem with one of our days next week. I told a few people that we would be rehearsing on tuesday and wednesday, but since Roges open house is next wednesday we will have to switch that one to thursday night. With the very limited time frame we are dealing with here every rehearsal will count so we can't afford to just skip any.
Thats about all for now, have a great night and a restful long weekend, see you all on tuesday.

upcoming plans
Looks like we are full steam ahead with plans for doing A Christmas Carol!! I met with Mrs. DicCenso today and she is fully behind doing the show and we get to do our rehearsals in the Auditorium now!! No more tiny room 100!! All good news for getting this show up and running as soon as we can. This puts us at starting the announcements next monday with auditions tentitively scheduled for the following monday and tuesday, probably meaning monday night and tuesday right after school, or vice versa. Start getting the news out there and Listen for the announcements in the coming week. If all goes according to plan the show should be cast by the end of next week with rehearsals starting early october for a production date in early December!! Talk to you all soon when I have more info, have a great weekend!!

First meeting of 09/10 season
I just wanted to send out a message to thank everyone who came to our little meeting today as well to give a heads up to those who couldn't make it. I'm posting a link to the description of the show I descibed at the meeting, the one that I am hoping to to, below so you can check it out if you would like. You will see that the cast is very flexible in number and we could easily insert a few songs to make it a kind of musical version of The Christmas carol, kind of in the same way that Trinity does, not really doing full fledged musical numbers but still injecting some song and dance. Let me know what you think and also if you have any ideas!!
I will post again on Friday after my meeting with Ms DiCenso, to let youi know what is up. See you later.

Great Year !!
Thank you all for a wonderful and successful production year!!! When you think about it we really did 8 shows this year, when you count out Kindergarten then all of the one acts independently!! No too shabby huh?
So now that this year is done our thoughts turn to ...... Next year!!
I'd love to start getting some ideas out there about what kinds of things people would like to do or would be interested in looking into for shows. Are we up for a musical? If so which one? Comedy? Shakespeare? Drama? One acts? Improv? where do we head, and who will be joining us? I know that we are losing Alexis and Karl but what about anyone else? Who might be moving or doing what sports next year? Lots of stuff to talk about and to keep us discussing possibilities over the summer.
Also if you are interested in starting a thread on a particular topic shoot me an email and we can get that going as well. And lastly, if you haven't joined the friends of Rogers Theatre Co. group on Facebook, well then get with the program, sheesh.
Hope to hear from you all.
-Corr
ps. If you have any good pictures from the show (backstage stuff etc) send them to me so I can make up a slideshow like the one from kindergarten for the blog.

Thursday Rehearsal
Hola,
I may need to change the thursday rehearsal this week due to conflicts up in Coventry. I don't want to lose a rehearsal though so I was wondering what would work best for all of you if we move it to another day or time. Please just let me know. Thanks.

tuesday night notes
Hello all, nice job tonite, some general notes first off now, then i will get t some individual ones in later postings.
So, please arrive on time and a related note, please make sure your rides will be around @ the end of rehearsal, nice job on that tonite, keep it up!.
Please start working on memorizing lines.(Yes already, we only have about 20 scheduled rehearsals before tech week.) Memorizing should just start with going over your lines and being familiar with the terminology, words and flow of what each line is saying, both literally (the actual words) and the meaning of the line in its context to the show.
As we go from here we will be cutting and editing lines for content and to fit our audience and purposes. I want you guys to know that we have been given a great deal of freedom in the shows and the content we can perform, but much of that has to do with the way you perform the show, i.e. professionally. If we don't perform to high standards then we have to stick to the kiddie shows. That said please remember that we do have to keep things around pg-13 ish and so we may have to tone down some stuff in our shows.
Thats all for now, see you all on thursday @3:00 in room 100, bring a pencil, and remeber to read your lines tonite. See you later.

What next?
Hello all.
Just thought I'd drop an little note to see how things were going, and to open up the floor for some possible discussions of what we want to do next. I am leaning towards some One Acts, maybe three short shows, maybe talking with MHS about doing a collaborative night or afternoon? Just to mix things up a bit perhaps? So, let me know what you think, especially if you have some plausible interesting ideas you would like to explore.
p.s. If you have specific plays and you have read a synopsis online or read through the online version, please post a link to the page you found it on so we can all take a look and read through it as well.

What to do?
Hello folks, looks like we are going to miss another rehearsal this week, this time due to the weather. Please, Please, .....Please, study your lines and work on adding some "character" to the stories as you work on them. These stories each need to be brought to life as much by the actor as the writer who penned them, remember that. So, I will see you all on Tuesday, (MLK holiday) then we have two rehearsals in rm 100 before heading over to the AUD. so keep in mind that the show dates are COMING FAST!!!!! Have a great weekend, study those lines and get your homework done.
By the way, today would be a GREAT time to send Mr. Corr those cast bios, or just post them right here, and I can grab them off the blog page.
